I used to believe that success was a result of what was outside of me, and that I had to constantly prove my worth to others. I used to believe that my school, although brilliant in its novel view and authentic reach to children, parents, caretakers, and community members, had to be bartered as though it was not worthy. As though it was, like me, not good enough. I am now, entering into this next phase to ratchet up what Jeffrey has helped me to begin; to see through the curtains that have been created for me. He has opened me up to my beauty and my soul. Now, it is time to discover how that beauty and that personal power can be utilized to create opportunities for others. I have been doing it all my life; but now I can do it without apologizing, and I can truly make the difference I was meant to make.
